FDNY Foundation Congratulates 31 EMS Officers on their Promotions

On Wednesday, August 4th, FDNY Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro presided over a Promotion Ceremony for 31 EMS Officers at the Fire Academy on Randall’s Island.

The FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in congratulating these 31 members on their promotions. We wish them continued success and thank them for their service and commitment to protecting the people and City of New York.

“FDNY EMTs, Paramedics, and Officers are on the front lines 24-hours a day, seven days a week, when help is needed most, responding to the calls in which a patient’s life hangs in the balance. Often, you will be the ones who make the difference. It is your lifesaving work that means the difference between life and death. And today, you continue to make your way up the ranks of our great Department. As promoted officers, we rely on you to ensure the safety of the members in your command. And we rely on you to make sure the patients they treat receive the very best care possible on every call. Every day, you will be making sure that the people who need help will get it. You will be leading your fellow EMTs and Paramedics at medical emergencies and fires, and in every situation, you will have an opportunity to make an impact on your members, and on this Department. You will be charged with improving our operations, training and the quality of care we provide. And you will all be asked to do more, to give more, to help improve what is an already outstanding team,” said Commissioner Nigro.
