FDNY Foundation Congratulates 153 Probationary EMTs on their Graduation

The FDNY Foundation congratulates the 153 Probationary Emergency Medical Technicians who graduated today. They are a remarkable group and we wish them the best of luck in the FDNY. We thank them for choosing a career of service and commitment to protecting the people and City of New York, and proudly representing the FDNY.

“At every turn, the impact of the lifesaving work you do can be felt in every corner of this city, even decades after the fact. This is difficult work, but it is noble, it is courageous, and it is brave. And it will change lives,” said Acting Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh.

FDNY Chief of EMS Operations Lillian Bonsignore said, “This is about saving lives. When I look at you, I think about the thousands of lives that are going to be saved. You all have these powers of compassion, kindness, service and forgiveness and you will use them to make a difference in our city and our world. I could not be more proud of the work you have accomplished.”
