To Better Protect New York

The FDNY Foundation is the official non-profit organization of the New York City Fire Department, allowing the FDNY to use donations from concerned businesses, foundations and individuals to promote awareness and outreach to the public, training and support of members of the FDNY and enhanced technology and equipment to better protect all who live, work and visit New York City every year.

FDNY Foundation Dinner

This annual event serves as the FDNY Foundation's opportunity to honor some of the Department's esteemed supporters with a humanitarian awards ceremony. The Foundation's largest event of the year, the gala has raised millions of dollars to support FDNY fire and life safety education efforts throughout New York City, as well as professional development, equipment and technology for members of the Department. FDNY All-Star Breakfast

Hundreds of guests attend this annual event, which brings together members of the FDNY and well-known athletes from New York and around the country. Past attendees have included Hall of Famer Joe Torre, former Grand Slam tennis champion John McEnroe, former New York Knicks All-Star John Starks, former New York Mets pitcher John Franco and Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez. FDNY Firefighter for a Day Team Challenge

This one-day event was developed to share the New York City Fire Department’s best team-building practices with corporations. Participants receive personalized and innovative team-building experiences at the renowned FDNY Fire Academy. The challenges give teams of all kinds the rare opportunity to experience the FDNY's state-of-the-art training simulators to strengthen teamwork skills. Learn More

FDNY Calendar of Heroes

One of the most hotly anticipated events of the year, the FDNY Foundation annually releases the only official calendar of the New York City Fire Department. All proceeds from the sale of the calendar go directly to the FDNY Foundation. Calendar photos feature 13 active FDNY Firefighters and each month includes an FDNY Smart safety message. Learn More
