Plaque Dedication Ceremony For Firefighter Steven H. Pollard

On Monday, January 6, 2020 Fire Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro presided over the plaque dedication ceremony to honor Firefighter Steven H. Pollard. Firefighter Pollard, who was appointed in June of 2017, died in the line of duty while operating at a motor vehicle accident on the Mill Basin Bridge in Brooklyn. He is the 1,151st member of the Department to make the Supreme Sacrifice in the line-of-duty and is survived by his mother, Janet; father, retired Firefighter Raymond Pollard who served for 32 years in the FDNY; and his brother, Firefighter Raymond Pollard, an 11-year veteran of Ladder Company 114 in Brooklyn. The FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in remembering Firefighter Pollard. We will never forget his service, sacrifice, and dedication to the people and City of New York.
