Help Support New York’s Bravest this Holiday Season

This Holiday Season, the FDNY Foundation wants to thank everybody for their unwavering support of New York’s Bravest during this challenging year. So many of you stepped up to help the FDNY Foundation ensure that our Firefighters, EMTs and Paramedics have the personal protective equipment, tools and resources to safely serve on the front lines of the Pandemic.

While many of us are relieved that the year 2020 is coming to a close, the dangerous and unrelenting work of responding to the Pandemic continues for the FDNY. The predicted surge in cases is upon us, and our members are again risking their lives and their health in service to others.

Your support of the FDNY Foundation plays a critical role in the FDNY’s ability to meet the demands of this unprecedented crisis. With your help, we will continue to provide essential resources so that our members can respond and return safely to their families. We are so grateful that when the Commissioner or Senior Chiefs reach out to us, we are able to respond quickly to fund important needs.

Even as the Pandemic rages, the FDNY has continued its tradition of excellence in response to nearly 2 million emergency calls this year. Be it fires, medical emergencies, stuck elevators, traffic accidents and more, our members are there when we call for help, responding with professionalism, compassion and skill.

With the FDNY as our partner, we offer fire and life safety programming to audiences of all ages. The FDNY Fire Safety Education Unit (FSEU) takes the lead in developing informative and lively presentations. This year, the FSEU has done an amazing job reaching thousands of school children and communities with remote learning.
