FDNY Offers Summer Safety Tips with Public Service Announcement Featuring Mascots

The FDNY is reminding New Yorkers to stay safe this summer through a fun public service announcement featuring Department mascots, Hot Dog and Siren.

The Summer PSA theme is “Take it From the FDNY,” and features Hot Dog and Siren reminding New Yorkers to keep safe while participating in summer activities.

In the PSA, the mascots hand out a smoke alarm, give a bottle of water to a runner, an oven mitt to a griller and sunscreen to someone sitting in the sun.

The PSA is being offered through the FDNY’s educational site, FDNY Smart. It has been featured on local news channel WABC-TV and will air on NYC TV throughout the summer.

You can catch the PSA here.
