FDNY Foundation Mourns the Loss of FDNY Supervising Fire Protection Inspector Mark Remolino

The FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in sending our condolences to the family and friends of FDNY Supervising Fire Protection Inspector Mark Remolino, who passed away from the coronavirus. Inspector Remolino had been with the Department for 26 years.

A member of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, Inspector Remolino served in the Fire Alarm Inspection Unit, where he supervised, trained and mentored new inspectors and engineers throughout his career.

“Supervising Fire Protection Inspector Mark Remolino was an expert in the field of fire alarms and often represented FDNY on committees that developed new codes and standards which kept New Yorkers safe,” said Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro. “Each day, our Inspectors prevent fires and ensure businesses and buildings in our city operate safely. Without question, Inspector Remolino’s work saved countless lives. Our entire Department mourns his loss.”
