FDNY Foundation Congratulates 303 Probationary Firefighters on their Graduation
August 29, 2023FDNY Foundation Joins the FDNY in Mourning the Passing of Retired Firefighter Robert E. Welsh III
It is with deep sadness that the FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in mourning the passing of retired FDNY Firefighter Robert E. Welsh III of Engine Company 207, who succumbed to his WTC illness on Friday, August 18, 2023. Firefighter Welsh was a 16-year veteran of the FDNY, and was also a member of the NYPD for 5 years prior to joining the FDNY.
Firefighter Welsh is survived by his wife and three children. The FDNY Foundation has set up a scholarship fund for Firefighter Welsh’s children.
