FDNY Foundation Joins the FDNY in Mourning the Passing of Former Firefighter Derek Floyd

It is with deep sadness that the FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in mourning the passing of Former Firefighter Derek Floyd who passed suddenly on April 15, 2024. He served our great department for 4 years; as well as our great nation as a marine. Derek passed at the tender age of 37 leaving behind his wife, Christine; and children: Abigail (age 2) & Ethan (age 6).

In lieu of flowers, The FDNY Foundation has set up a scholarship fund for Probationary Firefighter Derek Floyd’s Children. 100% of donations to the Fund will support his family.
