On Thursday, June 1st, the FDNY Foundation joined the FDNY at the FDNY Fire Academy for a Proby Pavilion Dedication.
The Proby Pavilion was dedicated to the memory of the FDNY Pobationary Firefighters who were killed in the line of duty while assigned to the Fire Academy. It is a memorial that was constructed by Firefighters remembering eight Firefighters, six of whom were killed on 9/11/01. Those members are Richard D. Allen, Calixto Anaya Jr., Michael D. D’Auria, Andrew C. Brunn, Michael F. Cammarata and Anthony Rodriguez. Jamel Sears died while at training in November 2008, and Vincent Malveaux died doing the same in December 2021.
The FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in honoring and remembering the eight FDNY Probationary Firefighters who were killed in the line of duty while assigned to the Fire Academy. They will never be forgotten.
The FDNY Foundation helped to fund the FDNY Proby Pavilion.
