FDNY Foundation Issues Statement In Response to False Claims From PETA
New York, NY, April 5, 2018 – “The statement released by PETA earlier today is a false narrative, filled with misinformation that we feel compelled to publicly correct. To be clear, we are incredibly proud of our partnership with Canada Goose and our limited-edition collaboration jacket, The Bravest Coat. While our jacket does not feature fur or down, we are confident in Canada Goose’s transparency about how they make their products, including the ethical sourcing and responsible use of animal products. We are proud to collaborate with a company that shares so many of our own values and we would be thrilled to collaborate with them again. We look forward to the launch of The Bravest Coat – of which 100% of the proceeds benefit the FDNY Foundation – and will provide much needed support for fire safety, training and education, as well as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for populations most vulnerable to fire.”
