FDNY Foundation holds special fundraiser to support the men and women of the FDNY

To help commemorate 25 years since September 11th, the FDNY Foundation is holding a special fundraiser to show its continued support of FDNY members.

“In honor of the men and women who answered the call with unshakable courage, and in solemn remembrance of those we lost, we’ve created a ceremonial patch to help us raise funds to directly support the Department’s lifesaving mission,” said FDNY Foundation Chairman Matthew DiLiberto. “This patch is symbol of remembrance, unity and the enduring service of the men and women who protect New York City.”

“As someone who responded to the World Trade Center on September 11th, I know the FDNY Foundation has our back. Since that day, they have invested critical funds into vital initiatives including our FDNY Officers Management Institute (FOMI) where our officers and executive staff take courses in leadership strategy,” said Fire Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore.

Additionally, proceeds of the patch fundraiser help to enhance fire and life safety education, training initiatives and resources for members like counseling and health-related services.
