On Tuesday, October 27th the FDNY Foundation joined the FDNY for a promotion ceremony for 50 FDNY Officers at the FDNY Fire Academy on Randall’s Island.
FDNY members were promoted to the ranks of Deputy Chief and Lieutenant.
The FDNY Foundation congratulates all 50 officers on their promotions! This is a tremendous accomplishment for them and their families. We wish them continued success and thank them for their service and commitment to protecting the people and City of New York and proudly representing the FDNY.
“Promotion ceremonies are extremely important for our Department, and it’s a big change for each of you,” Chief of Department John Esposito said. “You now join a long line of FDNY leadership, and you carry on the strong tradition that has been the trademark of this Department for more than 165 years.”
