On Tuesday, November 21st, the FDNY Foundation joined the FDNY for a Paramedic Promotion Ceremony. 80 EMT’s were promoted to the rank of Paramedic after months of rigorous training in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology as well as many additional lifesaving skills to prepare them to help critically injured patients.
The FDNY Foundation congratulates these 80 Paramedics. We thank them for their continued service and dedication to the FDNY!
“This is an extraordinary occasion because it marks a significant milestone in their careers and showcases their dedication to serving their communities,” said Chief of EMS Operations Michael Fields. “These members have chosen a career that demands them to put the needs of others ahead of their own. To rush into dangerous and hazardous circumstances without fear and deliver lifesaving treatment under pressure where every second matters.”
