On Thursday, July 23rd, the FDNY Foundation joined the FDNY for a promotion ceremony for 31 FDNY Officers on Staten Island. The 31 members were promoted to the ranks of: Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief, and Assistant Chief.
The FDNY Foundation congratulates all 31 officers on their promotions! This is a tremendous accomplishment for them and their families. We wish them continued success and thank them for their service and commitment to protecting the people and City of New York and proudly representing the FDNY.
“With your promotions, your work responsibilities will increase, and the Department will ask more of you,” Chief of Department John Esposito said at the promotion ceremony. “When your next tour begins and you step into your new role, be ready to lead. Be prepared to make difficult decisions, support your members and uphold the standards and the traditions of the FDNY.”
