FDNY Foundation Congratulates 10 EMS Officers on their Promotions

On Thursday, July 8th, Fire Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro presided over a Promotion Ceremony for 10 EMS Officers at FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn. The FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in congratulating these 10 members on their promotions. We wish you continued success and thank you for your service and commitment to the people and City of New York.

“As promoted officers making your way up the ranks, we rely on you to ensure the safety of the members in your command, and that the patients they treat receive the very best care possible on every call. Every day, you will be leading your fellow EMTs and Paramedics at medical emergencies and fires, ensuring that people who need help get it. You will have the opportunity to make an impact, improving our operations, training, and the quality of care we provide. And you will all be asked to do more and to help improve what is an already outstanding team. The fact is that every one of you being promoted today has already done extraordinary work serving this city, and that’s why you’re here this morning. You have already answered thousands of calls for help – and already made a difference in the lives of countless New Yorkers. And with your new roles, you will continue that work, and you will mold, train and most importantly, lead the next generation of EMTs, Paramedics, and Officers. I know you will continue to build upon the successes of your predecessors, and learn from the past, and you’ll make the training and operations of FDNY EMS even stronger moving forward,” said FDNY Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro.
