FDNY Foundation Congratulates 107 FDNY Fire Officers on their Promotions

On Tuesday, February 17th, the FDNY Foundation joined the FDNY for a promotion ceremony for 107 FDNY Officers on Staten Island. The 107 members were promoted to the ranks of: Battalion Chief, Captain and Lieutenant.

The FDNY Foundation congratulates all 107 officers on their promotions! This is a tremendous accomplishment for them and their families. We wish them continued success and thank them for their service and commitment to protecting the people and City of New York and proudly representing the FDNY.

“Today is the culmination of your grit, your late nights, and your unwavering discipline,” FDNY Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore said. “Being promoted in the FDNY is not just a title change. It is a transformation of responsibility. You didn’t just pass a test. You chose to sacrifice your free time and your sleep to prove you are ready to lead. You chose to be more so you can do more for the people of New York City.”

Chief of Department John Esposito added: “Your promotions mean new jobs, new challenges and new responsibilities. You studied long, you put yourselves in this position, and you’re in those seats because you earned this.”
