FDNY Foundation Announces Partnership with Hard Rock Café

The FDNY Foundation is proud to announce a partnership with the Hard Rock Café. These two institutions will be partnering to sell co-branded Hard Rock Café and FDNY 150 merchandise this summer. The merchandise is being created to celebrate the FDNY’s 150th anniversary this year.

On Sun., June 14, Hard Rock Café marks its “Founders’ Day,” where the restaurant chain celebrates at locations worldwide. Representatives from Hard Rock joined representatives from the FDNY and the FDNY Foundation to announce this special partnership on their Founders’ Day at their Times Square Location.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Hard Rock Café New York to celebrate the FDNY’s 150 years of brave service,” said Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro. “The proceeds from these 150th anniversary items will benefit the FDNY Foundation, helping the Department better protect all those who visit, work and live in New York City.”

“Hard Rock looks forward to celebrating Founder’s Day this year by honoring those who serve our community, and it’s a privilege to support the life-saving work of the FDNY through Hard Rock Cafe New York’s limited-edition merchandise,” said John Pasquale, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hard Rock Cafe New York. “Like Hard Rock, The Fire Department is a renowned New York staple and we are proud to join efforts as we celebrate our anniversaries, and recognize FDNY members for their dedication to our city.”

Partial proceeds from the sale of the co-branded merchandise will go to the FDNY Foundation, which supports the life-saving mission of the FDNY.

The Foundation and Hard Rock Café are aiming to collaborate on additional special projects throughout the summer.

“In this banner year for the FDNY, we are thrilled to have the support of such an incredible brand,” said FDNY Foundation Board Chairman Stephen Ruzow. “This is another exciting celebration of the FDNY’s 150th anniversary and a new partnership. This will help the Foundation continue to support the Department’s critical educational programs, as well as to support all the men and women who make up the FDNY and truly are New York’s Bravest.”

“Partners like the Hard Rock Café help us spread the word about the mission of the FDNY and allow us to continue to fund the Department’s work,” said FDNY Foundation Executive Director Jean O’Shea. “We are grateful to Hard Rock for their commitment to the Foundation and to the FDNY and we are so excited about this new partnership.”
