On April 24 – 27, 2025, the FDNY Foundation and FDNY welcomed military, federal, state, and local medical first responders from the around the world to the 12th Annual FDNY Search & Rescue Field Medicine Symposium (SRFM) taking place at the FDNY Fire Academy on Randall’s Island.

Each year, the FDNY SRFM Symposium includes current hot topics, the latest medical technological updates, and recent case studies from around the world. The four day consisted of workshops, lectures, panel discussions, hands-on-skills scenarios, and a vendor showcase with the latest equipment and products.

During pre-conference activities on April 24 and April 25, these first responders participated in a hands-on active threat scenario, a field blood transfusion workshop, and much more.

“The FDNY Search & Rescue Field Medicine Symposium is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to bring together first responders from across the country and around the world to share knowledge, sharpen skills, and strengthen our lifesaving capabilities,” FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker said. “I’m proud that the FDNY, in partnership with the FDNY Foundation, continues to lead the way in advancing rescue medicine and building a stronger, safer future.”

First responders from eight countries and 35 states, as well as Washington, D.C., attended the 2025 SRFM Symposium.

The FDNY Foundation thanks all of our exhibitors, attendees, and staff for making this such a great event. A special thanks to Rapid Relief Team – RRT for their continued support of FDNY SRFM Symposium.
