FDNY Foundation Congratulates EMS Officers on their Promotions
April 18, 2025On Wednesday, April 9, the FDNY Foundation joined the FDNY for a promotion ceremony for 145 FDNY Officers on Staten Island. These 145 members were promoted to the rank of deputy assistant chief, supervising fire marshal, captain, lieutenant and fire marshal. They will be assigned to units throughout New York City.
The FDNY Foundation congratulates all 145 officers on their promotions! This is a tremendous accomplishment for them and their families. We wish them continued success and thank them for their service and commitment to protecting the people and City of New York and proudly representing the FDNY.
“Leadership is about inspiring others, lifting each other up, and fostering a spirit of unity. Today, as you are promoted, you step into a new role, one that requires you to guide, to mentor, and to support the next generation of the FDNY. Remember, leadership is not just a title, it’s a responsibility, and I have no doubt that each of you will rise to meet that responsibility with honor and integrity,” said FDNY Commissioner Robert Tucker.
“Whether you are at the beginning of your leadership journey or you’ve been there for some time, every rank in our department is critical. Every member plays a key role in making sure we are always moving forward and improving our training, safety, and performance. Set the tone for those around you. The way you carry yourself on the fireground and in the firehouse and in the way you serve the city and represent this job, it matters. You are an example,” said Chief of Department John Esposito.
